The World Heritage of Enslavement African Slavery & Afro-Bajan Heritage is intricate  and controversial, yet, one thing is certain, 300 years of servitude as well as discrimination will never ever be forgotten. The memoir of the slave Olaudah Equiano, is a great point to begin. Olaudah was familiar with enslavement from a very early age. He recalls that as a child in Africa, he and his siblings were always checking for roaming rogues who abducted kids to offer as servants. Once, when his moms and dads were away, he spotted one suspicious rogue character and advised the next-door neighbors, who subdued the kidnapper and bound him up. Sadly, on another time abductors caught him and his sister and took them on a long trip by water and land far away. Living with an African family, he remembers that they treated him kindly and it seemed like he was one of the family members. Yet, this was simply the start of a fateful trip.
